With Iddo Goldberg, Leo Gregory.
In short : a young Jewish girl from North London tries to break the mold that her parents set for her, to find achievement in her job, and falls in love with a goyim instead of the nice Jewish boy she's supposed to marry.
British romantic comedy.

The Laramie Project The Laramie Project (2002)
2002. Directed by Moises Kaufman.
With Peter Fonda, Christina Ricci, Laura Finney, Steve Buscemi, Clea DuVall.
In short : a theater company tries to understand how the death of a gay student, murdered by guys his age, affects the population of the small town where it happened.
The movie opened the Sundance Film Festival 2002.
Summer plays a friend of the murderer.
(based on Matthew Shepard's true story)


The Believer (2001) [Carla Mobius]
2001. Directed by Henry Bean.
With Ryan Gosling, Theresa Russel.
In short : a Jewish student questions the importance of judaism in his life, and in rebellion becomes part of a neo-nazi gang.
The movie won the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival 2001.
Summer plays Carla Mobius, daughter of the neo-nazi leader who recruits Danny Balint (Ryan Gosling, the lead character). Carla becomes his girlfriend and shows interest for his religion.

Dinner Rush (2001) [Marti]

With Danny Aiello, Edoardo Ballerini, Kirk Acevedo.
In short : "Dinner Rush" tells the hectic life in a New York restaurant, that is becoming trendy due to the efforts of the new manager.
Summer is Marti, the new age waitress.


Esther Kahn (1999)
1999. Directed by Arnaud Desplechin.
With Ian Holm, Emmanuelle Devos.
In short : London, at the end of the 19th Century. Esther Kahn lives in the East End, her parens are Jewish migrants, they all work in the family sweatshop. Esther is slow and stubborn, she nevers has an opinion about anything, she never feels anything for anybody : she's a stone. Then, once in the theatre, Esther "wakes up", she comes to life : because she doesn't watch the play like others do, she lives it. Esther decides to become an actress. She now begins to learn how to act and to live. And it is these lessons that, one evening, on stage, all of a sudden, make her reveal twenty years of suppressed life.
(The script is based on a short story by Arthur Symons)

In short : Joline (Heather Graham) believes in love, that's why she got married. Unfortunately her husband (Luke Wilson) leaves her for someone else. So she's driving across the country to chase him. (the movie got the photography award at Sundance).


S.L.C. Punk! (1998) [Brandy]

In short : Back in 1985, where there were punks in Salt Lake City. Stevo tells the spectator all about his commitment to the "no cause" cause. He will briefly have his rebellion questioned by Brandy (Summer), a girl that he's attracted to but who has nothing to do with the punk attitude (as described in a review, "a kind, ordinary rich girl who cuts the strings on the whole punk posture in 60 seconds flat").

USA 1998. Directed by Jonathan Kahn.
With Dominique Swain, Sean Patrick Flanery, Tara Reid.
In short : a young girl (Dominique Swain, far right on the pic.) discovers life, night-clubs and parties.


I woke up early the day I died (1998)
USA 1998. Directed by Aris Iliopulos.
With Billy Zane, Christina Ricci, Amanda Plummer, Rain Phoenix.
In short : "A dialogue-free movie from that comic genius Ed Wood, where a thief escapes from a mental institution and steals $15,000 while on the run from the law".

With Josh Hartnett, Elijah Wood, Jordana Brewster, Clea DuVall, Laura Harris, Famke Janssen...
In short : your teachers are behaving weirdly and badly? That's because they're possessed by aliens from outerspace. Summer plays the girl who keeps talking bad at her boyfriend.


Arresting Gena (1996) [Jane Freeman]
USA 1996; 90 minutes. Directed by Hannah Weyer.
With Aesha Waks, J. Smith Cameron.
In short :Gena (Aesha Waks, left on the picture), a teenager whose mother just fell in a coma, befriends with the adventurous Jane (Summer), whose freedom fascinates her. When Jane leaves to find her brother, a bad boy, Gena follows her way.


Russkies (1987) [Candi]
Film (USA) 1987; 98 minutes. Directed by Rick Rosenthal.
With Joaquin (Leaf) Phoenix, Whip Hubley, Peter Billingsley, Stefan DeSalle, Susan Walters.
In short : american kids find a Russian soldier on the shores if Florida. Even though they've been taught that Russian were the bad guys, they find this one quite kind and decide to help him.



T.V. Appearances



"Wasted" [Samantha]
MTV, (USA) 2002, ?? minutes. Directed by Stephen Kay.
With Nick Stahl, Aaron Paul. In short : the movie chronicles the resurgence of heroin use among young people in recent years. Samantha and her boyfriend Owen has started snorting heroin while their friend Chris remained sober. Along time and stressful experiences, all three friends end up involved with the drug, and tragedies keep happening around them until there's no other choice but quitting or ruining their life.


"E.R." [Krista]
Series (USA) 1994-1998, 52 minutes. Episode : "Ambush" - 4th season #1.
That episode was played and broadcasted live on NBC, on September 25th, 1997, with two representations -one for the East Coast then another 4 hours later for the West Coast.
In short : The Cook County Hospital hosts a crew of reporters filming "a day in the E.R.". Among the visitors features Krista, a very young woman whose husband Bud has been brought to the hospital by a friend, suffering from terminal oesophage cancer. Dr Carter expects that he will have to explain her how critical is his husband's state, and that she might have to consider signing a D.N.R., but she has already taken her decision. It's him who's surprised by her pain and despair as she tells him how few is left of their life and marriage because of the disease.


Swamp Thing (1990) [Lilly]

In short : Jim, the Swamp Thing's friend, tries to befriend "normal" kids. Lilly, the strange and lonely girl he meets, seems to have secrets to hide - she handles knives too often and Jim finds a dead rabbit in her bag. As he starts freaking out, it appears that Lillu is just a lost kid, neglected by her parents and hated by other kids for no real reason.

Kate's secret (1986) [Rebecca Stark]
Téléfilm (USA) 1986; 100 minutes. Directed by Arthur Allan Seidelman.
With Meredith Baxter-Birney, Ben Masters, Shari Belafonte-Harper.
In short : Kate Stark seems to be the happy and energic wife of a successful lawyer, parents of a young and lively Rebecca. But she suffers from boulimia and that might destroy her family, whether she keeps her secret or not.


"Growing Pains" (1985) [Judy]
Series (USA) 1985-1991; 30 minutes. Episode 50 (title : 'Big Brother is not watching').
Ben wants to buy a bike and asks his brother for some advice, then turns to his sister.


"Murder, She wrote" (1984) [Cindy Donovan]
Series (USA) 1984; 60 minutes. Episode : "Le Magicien" (V.O. : 'We're Off To Kill the Wizard').
With Angela Lansbury.
In short : while she's playing with her grand-nephews, Jessica Fletcher is invited to see the Wizard's park's new attraction. Arrogant and unpleasant, the Wizard wants Jessica to write for him, but she turns his offer down. He's murdered soon after, and of course Jessica will help her nephew (a police officer) to solve the mystery.
The nephew's children, Cindy and Billy Donovan, are played by Summer and her brother Joaquin.
